Finally! After spending 2 months making this video YouTube struck me with a content ID claim because of a song excerpt. After waiting for 3 weeks for Virgin Records to acknowledge that I wasn't stealing their music, we decided to just make our own version of "Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life". And here we are!

This time I'm taking a jab at the idea that masculinity and femininity are mutually exclusive.

It is natural to think of masculinity as character traits displayed by (or even defining) men, and femininity as traits displayed by women. And some people think that it must logically follow that masculinity and femininity cannot overlap. But that train of thought quickly breaks down, even before we consider intersex people.

Exhibit in Museum De Voorde

Museum De Voorde has opened an exhibit on the concept of 'stoer', and they invited me to showcase my story and one of my dresses. It is hard to pinpoint exactly what stoer means, the English language does not really have a single word for it. It's a bit of valor, courage, and some bad-assery, but also diligence. This expo explores what being stoer means in our current time. One thing is certain: stoer-ness is about taking positive action.
